Social Services & Welfare
Our Social Services department provides essential support to the most vulnerable populations in the community. From distributing food and clothing to organizing awareness campaigns on social issues, we ensure that no community member is left behind.
We run community welfare centres that serve as hubs for counselling, legal aid, and social support. Our outreach programmes connect marginalized families with government schemes and entitlements, helping them access benefits they are rightfully owed. Through regular community surveys, we identify emerging needs and design targeted interventions for maximum impact.
Education
Education is the cornerstone of our mission. We operate free tutoring centres, distribute school supplies, and run scholarship programmes that have helped over 3,000 children continue their education without interruption despite economic hardships.
Our education initiatives extend beyond the classroom. We train teachers in modern pedagogical methods, organize science fairs and reading clubs, and facilitate digital literacy programmes in schools with limited technology access. By creating an ecosystem of learning, we ensure that education reaches every corner of our operational areas.
Health
With limited healthcare access in rural areas, our Health department fills critical gaps through free medical camps, mobile health units, and health awareness drives. We bring specialist doctors, diagnostic services, and essential medicines directly to communities that lack nearby health facilities.
We have conducted over 40 health camps serving thousands of patients, distributed lakhs worth of free medicines, and trained village health workers in first aid and preventive care. Our maternal health and child nutrition programmes have significantly improved health outcomes in our target villages.
Humanitarian Assistance
When disasters strike or communities face emergencies, our humanitarian assistance team is among the first to respond. We maintain emergency supply kits, coordinate relief distribution, and provide temporary shelter and medical aid to affected families.
Beyond immediate relief, we focus on long-term rehabilitation — helping families rebuild homes, restore livelihoods, and recover psychologically from traumatic events. Our partnerships with government agencies and other NGOs amplify our reach during large-scale emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective response.
Water Preservation
Clean water is a fundamental right, yet many villages in our operational area lack safe drinking water. Our Water Preservation department has installed 18 deep-bore hand-pump wells across 12 villages, providing reliable and tested safe water to over 3,000 families.
We also conduct river-cleaning drives, rainwater harvesting workshops, and community education on water hygiene and waterborne disease prevention. Community water committees formed in each village manage ongoing maintenance and ensure equitable access for all households.
Human Rights & Advocacy
We believe in the dignity and rights of every individual. Our Human Rights department raises awareness about legal rights, conducts workshops on gender equality, child protection, and anti-trafficking, and provides legal aid to vulnerable populations.
Through public interest campaigns, partnership with legal aid societies, and community dialogues, we empower individuals to know, claim, and defend their rights. We actively work to create safe spaces where marginalized voices can be heard and addressed.
Community Development
Our Community Development department focuses on building self-reliant villages through participatory planning. We facilitate the formation of village development committees, conduct needs assessments, and design community-driven solutions to local challenges.
From constructing community halls and improving village roads to organizing co-operative societies and savings groups, we invest in the infrastructure and social fabric that empowers communities to chart their own path to prosperity.
Cultural Promotion
Assam's rich cultural heritage is a treasure worth preserving. Our Cultural Promotion department organizes festivals, traditional dance and music performances, language preservation workshops, and intergenerational storytelling events.
We document vanishing art forms, support indigenous artists and performers, and integrate cultural education into our youth programmes. By celebrating heritage alongside progress, we ensure that modernization does not erode the identity of our communities.
Rural Livelihood Support
Sustainable livelihoods are the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. We connect rural families with market opportunities, provide micro-enterprise training, and facilitate access to credit through Self-Help Groups and cooperative formations.
From organic farming to poultry, fisheries, and small-scale food processing, we support diverse income-generating activities tailored to local resources and skills. Our livelihood programmes have significantly improved household incomes and economic resilience in target communities.
Skill Development
Our Skill Development department designs and delivers vocational training programmes in tailoring, computer literacy, electrical work, plumbing, and other market-relevant skills. Participants receive hands-on training, certification, and job placement support.
We closely work with local industries and businesses to align our training curricula with actual market demand, ensuring that graduates have real employment prospects. Specialized programmes for youth, women, and differently-abled individuals ensure inclusive access to economic opportunities.
Child Welfare
Every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment to grow. Our Child Welfare department runs after-school care programmes, nutrition supplementation, and child protection awareness campaigns in rural communities.
We work with schools and families to identify and support children at risk of dropping out, child labour, or abuse. Through creative workshops, sports, and mentorship programmes, we cultivate safe spaces where children can learn, play, and dream.
Women Empowerment
Women are the pillars of our communities. Our Women Empowerment department runs comprehensive programmes in financial literacy, leadership training, self-defence, handloom and tailoring skills, and entrepreneurship development.
We have trained over 200 women in handloom weaving and tailoring, formed 15 Self-Help Groups, and established 3 local handloom cooperatives. These initiatives have demonstrated an average monthly income increase of ₹5,000 per participant, fundamentally changing the economic landscape for rural women and their families.
Disaster Management Support
Assam is prone to floods and other natural disasters. Our Disaster Management department maintains preparedness through community training in evacuation, first aid, and emergency communication. We maintain stockpiles of relief materials for rapid deployment.
During major flood events, our trained volunteers coordinate rescue and relief operations, distribute essential supplies, and set up temporary shelters. Post-disaster, we support affected communities through rehabilitation programmes, including house repairs, livelihood restoration, and psychological counselling.
Public Health & Sanitation
Good health begins with good sanitation. Our Public Health department promotes hygiene awareness, supports the construction of household toilets, and conducts village-level cleanliness drives. We work closely with schools to instil hand-washing and hygiene habits in children.
Waste management workshops, community drain cleaning drives, and awareness campaigns on vector-borne diseases form the backbone of our sanitation initiatives. These efforts have contributed to measurable reductions in waterborne illnesses and vector-borne infections in our operational areas.
Agriculture & Rural Development
Agriculture is the lifeblood of rural Assam. Our Agriculture department provides training in modern, sustainable farming techniques, including System of Rice Intensification (SRI), organic composting, integrated pest management, and crop diversification.
We have trained over 150 farmers, set up 100 SRI demonstration plots, and distributed 80 vermi-compost units. The result has been a 30% average yield increase among participating farmers. Seed distribution drives and kitchen garden programmes enhance both food security and nutritional diversity.
Environment & Wildlife Conservation
Our Environment department leads large-scale tree planting drives, having planted over 50,000 saplings of indigenous species. We manage river-bank afforestation projects and engage school eco-clubs in environmental monitoring and awareness.
Wildlife awareness campaigns educate communities living near wildlife corridors about coexistence and conservation. We support anti-poaching networks, promote biodiversity-friendly farming practices, and actively participate in state-level environmental policy dialogues.
Soil Conservation
Healthy soil is the foundation of sustainable agriculture and a healthy environment. Our Soil Conservation programme addresses soil erosion, degradation, and nutrient depletion through contour planting, terrace farming guidance, and cover crop demonstrations.
We promote organic composting and natural fertilization methods that improve soil health over time, reducing dependency on chemical inputs. River-bank stabilization projects and slope management interventions prevent landslide risks and protect arable land in hilly regions.
Sports & Promotion
Sports build discipline, teamwork, and community spirit. Our Sports department organizes inter-village tournaments, youth athletics workshops, and traditional games events that bring communities together and nurture talent.
We provide sports equipment to schools and community groups, sponsor talented young athletes, and advocate for proper sports infrastructure in rural areas. Our "Sports for Development" approach uses athletics as a vehicle for teaching life skills, health awareness, and social cohesion.
Handloom & Crafting
The traditional handloom heritage of Assam is both a cultural treasure and an economic opportunity. Our Handloom department trains women and youth in traditional weaving techniques while introducing modern design sensibilities and market linkages.
Participants learn to produce marketable items like Gamosas, Mekhela Chadors, and contemporary handloom products. We facilitate connections with local markets, exhibitions, and e-commerce platforms, transforming traditional skills into sustainable livelihoods. Three local handloom cooperatives have been established as a direct result of our programme.
Senior Citizen & Differently Abled Welfare
Our elders deserve dignity and care in their later years. Our Senior Welfare department runs health check-up camps for the elderly, facilitates access to pension schemes, and creates social engagement opportunities through community gatherings and recreational activities.
For differently-abled individuals, we provide assistive devices, facilitate special skill training, and advocate for accessible infrastructure and inclusive policies. By building awareness about disability rights and creating support networks, we ensure that every community member can participate fully in social and economic life.
